BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened lower Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26 percent to open at 2,142.43.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.39 percent lower at 9,503.45.
